Embedded formative assessment (New Directions)

I was lucky enough to deliver a video presentation alongside Alan Pulverness (TransformELT) at New Directions East Asia conference.

We introduce the concept of formative assessment, explain typical formative assessment strategies, and discuss some challenges in embedding such strategies in a SE Asia context.

I’ve been working on a really cool project related to formative assessment in this region over the last few years. It’s taught me so much about classroom practice, but also developed my skills no end. Consulting, presenting, teacher training, working with MOEs – I’ve learned and achieved so much. Alan Pulverness (‘Mr TKT’) has been a brilliant mentor. It’s also lead to further opportunities working with TransformELT. Exciting stuff…
